    Giannis

Eastern Conference Player of the Week and averaging 36.8 points, 10.8 boards and 5.3 assists through the first 4 games. Not a bad start to the season.

What he did in that first week is pretty incredible. Puts him in some rarified air. The question is now, what happens next. History would tell you he won’t average 36 the whole year, and the Bucks are barely winning, someone is going to have to step up.

True, but a nice start against what were the two top teams in the east (Clev and Boston), a playoff team in Portland, and an ok team in Charlotte, so those numbers and wins were against some good competition, and that will continue for the next few weeks.

If Giannis can keep scoring in the upper 20's, and the Bucks get through the first 11 games over .500 that would be a great start seeing as 9 of the first 11 games are against playoff teams with 6 of the 11 against Clev, Bos, OKC and the Spurs.

Looking at last year's scoring leaders, I see Giannis averaging in the 26 to 30 range and finishing Top 10 in scoring. Brogdon (16 ppg) is already showing improvement offensively. Middleton is averaging 15, but has been in a shooting slump to start the season (a career 40% 3-point shooter is at 12.5% after 4 games). Snell is averaging 11. Monroe has a career average of 14. Parker averaged 20 before getting injured last season, but difficult to predict what he will provide coming off injury. Bottom line, through the grind of an 82-game season, Giannis will have to pace himself and defer to teammates at times.
