They are kind of limping down the home stretch. Down to 13 with 5 to go.

Nice to see MU's inclusion on the list of holiday tourney champs thus far.

It's obviously very early but the Big East is currently # 3 in the RPI.

While we are looking at way too early RPI: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology/team-comparison/MARQET/WISC

This is one of my favorite sites to see how MU compares to other teams. Obviously way too early to really make any sort of claims, but useful as we start to get closer to March.

MU is going to have a hard time getting their RPI into reasonable shape unless they beat UW and win 11 games in the BE. That's a tall order.

What a hell of a game!! Almost got robbed on a horrendous (non-existent) 4th foul on Dunn. Reinserted with about 5 mins to go and led them to a win like the damn boss he is. What a freaking stud.

Until now I thought the Friars were over-rated by those who saw them finishing fifth in the BE and making the tournament. But they just beat Arizona with Dunn playing only half the game (21 minutes). Of course, he scored 19 points and had 8 assists in those 21 minutes. Still, the Friars are very athletic, and they played tough defense (except for rebounding). Out-rebounded by 20-plus and still win. Wow.

Bentil is very impressive - athletic and aggressive. I can see him giving Luke fits. He is quicker than Luke, and he can step out and hit the mid-range shot. He even drained a trey. So Luke will have to step out and guard him, but then Bentil has the advantage in space and can take Luke off the dribble.

Been an impressive tournament run for the Big East in the November tournaments. Creighton, Marquette and Villanova have won titles, Butler and Georgetown had impressive second place finishes and Xavier and Providence play for titles today.

Providence and Xavier is Sunday. Those tournaments are off because of college football.

Has anyone seen Dayton in Orlando and the amount of Flyers fans. I sure would like them in the Big East.

Really was a good game. Don't forget however that AZ was without their best player( Tarzewski). Providence is small but with Dunn, Bentil, and Bullock they have 3 really good players.

Dunn just took over the game down the stretch.

Agree Ted. I can't recall how the Big East did last year in these early tournaments. I do recall them having an overall strong RPI as a league. Let's hope the success in the tournaments provides them the experience and confidence come the big tournament in March and the league can make a deeper run. Beating Arizona is very impressive. Miller a great coach and heck of a program.

Suddenly the Big East is down to #6 in RPI... Shows just how volatile that number is this early.

Yep. Big East was 2nd in RPI most of last season to the Big 12. Good to see plenty of Big East teams either winning or finishing 2nd in the early season tournaments.

There are 4 Big East games today, none of them are part of tournaments. Undefeated Western Illinois, that won @ UW, is @ Creighton. Georgia @ Seton Hall. SIU @ Butler. Georgetown won earlier today.
