I think Mullin gets it done long-term, but it's likely a single digit win season if LoVett is ineligible (and may be anyway). With basically a new roster, there are a wide range of possibilities for the season, and it looks much more like the pessimistic outcome.

Ouch, not only to lose, but by 32? They will be an RPI drain for the conference.

I think Mullin was a mistake. He doesn't translate to the college scene.

No way a mistake. Lavin was a mistake. Spent more time keeping players eligible than coaching. Mullin will have a Wojo first year this coming season. He has highly rated Shamorie Ponds coming in next year. Oh, and Mullin has every member of the Dream Team in his smartphone contact list if he needs a little help recruiting. (Not to mention two proven recruiters as assistants....Abdellmassih and Rohrrsen...I killed the spelling).

Have there been any reports that LoVett might not be eligible? I haven't seen anything along those lines.

Lovett and another freshman are waiting on the Clearinghouse and didn't play last night.

Yes, but they are going to be awful all season, which will give them a DePaul like RPI...

I thought the same thing right after the hire, but he will be more than fine IMO. This year will likely be beyond ugly, but give I think 2 seasons from now the Garden could be rocking.

He's put together a good staff and recruiting seems to be going OK thus far.

Which might be fine if he has assistants who can help him transition to the college game. Too early to tell.
