any video for us out of staters for this thing? can't seem to locate it. would be bummed to miss it.
It is being carried by Time Warner Sports - I am sitting next to Krause, as soon as they stop talking I will ask him where they are online.
Sorry - they are only on TV, not online. I am sure the MU TV people are online.
Message to board from Gato78 -
The Alums are disappointed in the seniors for not going nuts at the beer truck. Plenty of alums standing by beer truck waiting to buy beer for students, none showed.
Students/Fanatics - Alums are your friends - USE THEM!
Madness - The block party across the street was a HUGE success. Large number of people and the line for Gruber T-Shirts was extremely long.
Scholl spoke, Carolyn Kieger spoke, Wojo spoke. great event. Allowed assistants the opportunity to spend time with recruits and coaches beforehand where in the past, they were busy inside the building.
Several recent former players including Jake Thomas, Chris Grimm, Marcus Jackson, Mike Kinsella and more.
Talked to Bo Ellis for quite a while, a lot of great things happening and MU is prepared. They will be getting out into the local community a lot more to get more people around the city of Milwaukee excited about Marquette, not just on the basketball front but as a University too.
Bo also said there are a lot of former players that really want to get involved with the program and university.
Watching the MU women warn up. If you didn't already know that freshman Natisha Heideman was Sandy Cohen's sister, you would by looking at her - they look identical!
Bo said there are a lot of Hoops alums that really want to get involved with the MU program. He mentioned Robb Logtermann, Ty Baldwin, Ron Curry, Damon Key, John Cliff.. I think all but Curry are in the house.
Interesting makeup of the women's squad, 8 freshmen, 1 sophomore and 2 juniors. Complete makeover, Carolyn Kieger said they officially have the youngest roster in the NCAA.
Four different countries represented, Canada, Spain, Sweden & Finland.
Four states in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Florida.
Four players from Wisconsin, from Riverside, Dominican, Sun Prairie and Green Bay Southwest.
Women's game ends with the blue team beating white 23-17 - time for some Madness.
Student taking 1/2 court shot for a year of free textbooks. Three tries, takes the first two, one off rim, the other just right. Opts for Carolyn Kieger to take his third shot and she nails it.
Marquette Intro video was pretty sweet.

Not the former Louisville player Myles is it?
Where does Tyrone Baldwin live now?
Rowsey can shoot, no question.
Anyone that thinks Wally can't play is nuts. Pulled a rebound off top of backboard height and threw it down. Amazing ability.
Not sure who's mom or grandma is behind me, obviously from the white tream, but she's hilarious - constantly screaming, "PUT A BODY ON SOMEBODY!!"
Both Duane and Jajuan look to have improved their shooting form.
Side note, not that it wasn't expected, but Traci at the PG, Duane at the 2G.
Different Ellis Myles.
Tyrone is in Milwaukee.
Also in the house is Robert Jackson & Dylan Flood.
Joining Jabari Parker & Miles Plumlee is I believe Tyler Ennis.
Rosters changed at the half...
White now Henry, Traci, Jajuan, Sacar & Haanif
Blue now Duane, Wally, Rowsey, Heldt & Sandy
Walk-ons have not changes
Scrimmage over - Not bad, never great as guys are always tired from practice etc., but a lot of promise in this team. Henry will be a great one. The guy will allow MU to really spread the floor. He can really pull the post out on to the perimeter and drive to the hole.
Obviously the fan favorite too, but his brother will be the human highlight reel.
Now up is a player/student 2 ball contest. Took a while to set up, lost some fans in process, but not a bad event.
Next up will be the dunk contest. Bucks will be judges.
Funny - Dunk judges sit down, Parker, Ennis, Plumlee, Lovell and a student. Lovell calls Wojo over, and Wojo goes to make an introduction. Lovell says no, hands Wojo his cell phone and asks him to take a picture of him with the Bucks & student. Classic.

Anyone know why Luke didn't suit up?
Said he took an elbow to the head at practice - just precautionary.
Classy move - at the end Wojo called all former players down onto the court for a group picture, former and current players. Nice touch.

Probably Hannif's mom. That is her modus operandi. She was in the house from Florida.
Not sure who's mom or grandma is behind me, obviously from the white tream, but she's hilarious - constantly screaming, "PUT A BODY ON SOMEBODY!!"
It was Haanif's mom - saw her afterwards.
There was a recruit sitting behind me. Recognized him but couldn't figure out who it was, big white kid. Realized afterwards that it was in fact Sam Hauser - didn't think it was him because I didnt rember him being that big - found out afterwards that he has grown, and is now 6'7 1/2.
Still growing!

He is going to go down as a huge get right up from under UW's nose.

This is a problem for those of us out of state and has been for awhile. Fortunately, based on my DirecTV recording schedule, it appears that Coach Wojo's tv show will be broadcast on other outlets (like SNY NY) so I'll get to set that. To me, once again (and I'll try not to rant too much), it goes back to the Marquette administration's continued failure to realize that they can't expand the brand with the localized and ineffective marketing and merchandising efforts. I was in Milwaukee, for business, back in July and was able to get by the Spirit Shop. I was simultaneously pleased and annoyed to see some of the great merchandise. Pleased because I was able to buy it and annoyed because it required me to physically visit the Spirit Shop since many of these items were not available on line.
We like to celebrate the fact that we are a "Nike Elite/Jumpman" school but what good does it do if you can't buy the merchandise from any brick and mortar or virtual (online) vendors other than the one location on campus?

I wonder if Marquette outsources their online store and that's why the selection is limited.

Don't know if they still do but they did us Fanatics at one time. In fact I ordered a Marquette polo shirt and was shipped a Maryland shirt. Hey, they both start with M A R ....
