North Dakota beat Haukar by 18 today.
I didn't see his name either, but there was a group picture of both teams and it looked like he was in the picture.

North Dakota beat Haukar by 18 today.Looking at the North Dakota twitter feed, it looked to be a close game until the 4Q. In one shot the guys on the floor for Haukar, were not the same players who played versus Marquette.

i think we need to draw the same conclusions from these games as we would from playing a cupcake. It's impossible to know the quality of these teams so we just have to watch our team and watch for little indications that we are going to put it all together when we get to competition that is more reflective of what we will see come the season.

Georgetown up 5 at the half against team from Iceland we played in our first game.
@CasualHoya: Hoyas up 5 at half. Sloppy play on both sides of ball. Poor outside shooting but lots of energy. Derrickson impressive in limited minutes.

@MexCarey: Make that 20 points as Derrickson hits another 3 & @GeorgetownHoops is in the midst of a 15-0 run, 68-57 Hoyas. #HoyaNotes #SiamoGeorgetown

I think that's the team we played Sunday (3rd game). 2nd game was against Lithuanian squad.

I think it may have been a different team. The announcer on Sunday that the players in that game were not playing for teams in the top three divisions of Italian hoops, but I read elsewhere that the players the Hoyas played against today all play in the top three divisions. At least that's the way I remember it.

Different team or not, I think it's safe to say all the incarnations of that Italian Select team has been awful. USC beat them by 72, GT beat them by 59, we beat them by 36, no matter who they trot out, they aren't good.

That's surprising. Looks like they were without DSR, Agau, or Tre Campbell. Not sure how much it means in the long run, but in terms of comparing results, we're looking pretty favorable with one of the teams picked for the top of the conference. Of course, they are still just exhibition games in August.

If DSR and Campbell were out, G-Town was would have been rather rudderless.

Top two PG options. Mentioned this on Scoop...these games always remind me of the Syracuse loss to D2 Le Moyne in 2009. It was leading news on ESPN and had people predicting the downfall of the Orange.
They went on to a 30-5 record, Big East title, #1 seed in March, and Sweet 16 appearance. Sometimes an exhibition game is just that and has no bearing on the season to come.

@BasketBilde: Georgetown Hoyas beat SAM Basket Massagno by 3, 76-73. #MUBB beat the same team by 60 shooting close to 70% from the floor. #BigEast

Well, when you hear a score like that, it's hard not to feel good about where this Marquette teams stands in August. The thing that many of us still don't understand is, with the four games in Italy, what was the need for a bad non-conference schedule. As of mid-July, SFA needed 5 games still to schedule.
