Unless a draft day trade is made, I'd think the Bucks would try to look to the FA market to get some help in the middle.
Monroe seems to be NY's target. Is Lopez worth big money? Anyone else look reasonable? Not sure Marc Gasol would leave Memphis.

Not sure Lopez is worth it, but I can see them having interest. Hibbert could opt out, but I don't think he's active enough.
I wouldn't mind them packaging an expiring contract and the 17th to move up and get a big.

This is what I would like to see the Bucks do.

It may take more than an expiring contract and #17 to move up far enough to get a guy like Causey Stein.
If you had the 10th pick, knowing big men are a premium, I'd probably want two picks and a player. Is moving up to get Causey Stein worth next year's first rounder?

I know they like Myles Turner quite a bit, who probably could be had in the 10-15 range. Was also glad to see they interviewed RJ Hunter. If they stay at 17 and he's still on the board, I'd take him in a heartbeat. Kid has a little Steph Curry to his game.

I wonder if the Bucks would try to package one of their 2 first round picks in 2017 along with #17 to move up this year. Would another team agree to that deal? I like Hunter and Booker, 2 of the better shooters in the draft with good size. Would seem to me the Bucks have to go C or best shooter available (Booker or Hunter) in this draft.

I'd be happy with shooters like Hunter and Booker, and even Anderson from Virginia in the Bucks current slot. Most have Hunter and Anderson still there at 17, but Booker might be a question mark to make it to 17. To get either Causey-Stein or Turner they would have to move up.
Now that the Bucks seem like they will be relevant and poised to have a good season if Parker comes back and produces like a #2 pick, the draft and off season free agent moves will be far more interesting.

I think it is Cauley Stein and not Causey-Stein :) Bucks tried on numerous occasions to trade for Hibbert. I'm not a fan. I would go for Lopez.

You got me on that one. Not sure why I continue to call him by the wrong name.
I too am not a Hibbert fan. I'd much prefer Lopez over Hibbert.

Agree regarding Hibbert. He seems better suited for a slow tempo, half-court offense. Jason Kidd wants to get out and run with MCW, Middleton, Giannis and Jabari. Despite his terrible free throw shooting, DeAndre Jordan is the defensive presence and type of center that can get up and down the court. Brook Lopez and Marc Gasol would also be better options over Hibbert.

Lopez is the one guy who has been coached by Kidd. I guess Kidd would know if he likes Lopez for what he wants to do / and Lopez would have some idea if he would like to play for Kidd. That is why I think he will be an interesting one to watch if the Bucks are interested. Seems players on the current team liked playing for this coaching staff, and if so that may help recruit a player like Lopez to Milw.

Marc Stein agrees, says Bucks will target Brook Lopez. Tyson Chandler another possibility.

Wasn't there a rumor at some point that the Bucks may trade Henson to Sacramento for the #7 pick?

I only saw it on another message board. I have not seen it reported anywhere else. Trades regarding draft picks are always contingent on the targeted player being available at the pick. That can't be known until the draft unfolds. Teams seem to wait until draft day or a few days before, otherwise another team may try to move one slot ahead of you if they want the same player. There is an advantage to not making anything official until draft night.

Greg Monroe has Bucks as 1 of 5 teams he will meet with:
It was not lost on him that he may be an unrestricted free agent a year too soon. The NBA’s new nine-year, $24 billion television contract kicks in before the 2016-17 season. That will affect the type of contract Monroe signs, he said.
“(He and agent David Falk) are definitely looking at all our options,” he said. “You can see the trend is everybody’s taking shorter deals right now. So, most likely, I might take that route, too, and when the new deal kicks in, get a longer-term contract.
“I’m looking at a two-year deal plus an option” to become a free agent.

Here is an article on free agents that says where they should sign, and where they will sign.

Danny Green is referenced as should sign in San Antonio, but will probably sign with Milwaukee.
Hadn't thought about Green.

Sounds like at least one of the ESPN guys think Chandler may end up in Milwaukee.
The more I think about it, the more I like Chandler.
Milwaukee Bucks
ESPN's Chris Broussard reports that Tyson Chandler may end up playing for his old teammate Jason Kidd in Milwaukee.
Broussard is also reporting that the Bucks could be interested in Iman Shumpert

I liked Danny Green as well, he has resigned with San Antonio. I think Bucks plan off attack is becoming clearer (1) resign Middleton and (2) go after Greg Monroe.

Greg Monroe is interesting. Now if somehow the Bucks would go head to head with the Knicks and Lakers and sign a player, that would be an absolutely huge statement.
I guess with the Knicks and Lakers I never considered Monroe a likely option.

Things are happening quickly.....Tyson Chandler to the Phoenix Suns......4 Years for $52 million. Makes me wonder how much the Bucks pursued him or if they are all-in on Monroe?

Sounds like the fourth year was a sticking point for the Bucks. Can't blame them. While I like Chandler, he has a lot of miles on those legs.

Add Robin Lopez to the Bucks search for a big man.

Good to hear. Portland has already traded Batum. LaMarcus Aldridge, Wes Matthews and Robin Lopez may all be gone as well. Lakers and Knicks have the lure of being 2 big markets with rich history, but are both far from winning. At least the Bucks have a shot.

Heard Stein from ESPN on Mike and Mike this morning.
Greenberg wanted to talk about the Knicks and LA and asked what happens now with Monroe being basically the big center out there. Stein thought it was between NY and Milwaukee.
Basically said the Bucks were driving the market for with the 4 years for $50+ mil deals, but he thought Chandler wanted to stay in the west.
Seems the Lakers may have passed on Okafor as they thought they would get a center in FA, and it's been thought Monroe to the Knicks for awhile, but who knows, maybe the Bucks can pull off an upset here.
Here is an interesting look at Greg Monroe v. Robin Lopez for the Bucks.
