I still have never seen that game. I was in Florida and that was during the days when you were only given one game to watch. Before that, didn't ESPN and CBS televise the games?

ESPN had the first round in the 80's.

I think CBS would show a game or two in the evenings, and even a late tip after the local news. ESPN showed all the day games though.

That sounds right.

I think that some are missing the point here. Having a LAX program was criticized by some but our ranked program will be on TV 4-5 times this season. The nd game was on TV as was the Nova game. Duke and Denver will be too. And since we've qualified for the BET, our 1st round game will be on FS1 and the championship game will be if we win. It's great that we're able to get a second athletic programs on television to market the school. Somehow, I don't think that there's another sport that would have done this for us for the investment we put into it. Glad our athletic department had the vision to do this and that the dynamic duo of dolts Pilarz/Larry didn't kill it off.

I was living in Hawaii at the time. Got to see it there...sadly.

Maybe it the old style viewing in me but Duke and Denver are the only TV games as ND and Villanova were espn3 and BEDN.
The semi's of the BET is on BEDN and the title game is on FS2.

Nice article. Good to see. They could have added that Ampolo worked for Daniwski at Hofstra and his assistant Caputo worked at Ampolo's camp last year - so there are ties.

Is there a chance this could actually sell out? I was thinking of heading down with my kids and don't want to get denied. What's capacity at Hart Park?

MU playing a more than respectable game in a 9-4 game at half - Wojo and his family enjoying hot dogs in prime seats.
