Damn that was fun to read. I still get chills thinking back to the Metrodome that day. I had always hated that dump, until that weekend. A horrible place for football, but for that weekend, a wonderful venue!

Actually, I think both teams each had 3 guys that went on to play substantive time in the NBA.
Wade, TD, Novak and Hayes, Bogan and I forget the 3rd for Kentucky. I could be wrong, but I think that is the case.
Great run though and got to see all in person although the KU game was tough to stomach.
When he said the guy should have known who Rob was because we were good all year? Not only that, but the guy played against Rob for two years when he was at Mississippi State.

I still have the media stat sheet from the Kentucky game I picked up on the floor of the Metrodome during the celebration and then signed by Crean, hanging on my wall.
What a great Tournament.

That second GIF is pretty cool, the up and under by Wade, as soon as he lets it go he knows it's going in, he's already almost to the free throw line running the other way before it even hits the backboard.

I have two great sports memories from the Metrodome: The MU win over Kentucky and Ripken's 3000 hit. Almost makes up for having to pee at the troughs. Almost.

If you are were a Twins fan in the 1980s and 1990s, the Metrodome would have a special place in your heart regardless. The Kentucky game was just icing on the cake for me. Loved me some Homerdome!

I was at Game 6 & 7 in '91 and Kriby's homer was 11 rows in front of me. Insane environment.

I was a 14-year-old going insane in my (parents') living room. Living the dream.

Due to my wise choice of siblings, I sat next to my sister for Game 1. I later called her up and said, "Thanks for inviting me to the BORING game!" It was the only game of the series that was not decided in the last at bat. Game 7 was one of the most exciting games in history. Who says pitchers' duels are boring? My sister called me as soon as the game ended and told me that the tension was so high she got physically sick. I still have my Homer Hankee.
That was the best World Series ever!
