Hate the timeout Butler took after going ahead with 12 seconds.

Nova has a bit of playing to their competition this year. I think they are really focused to winning championships and making a deep run in March, and have not taken some of their buy-type games (Lehigh, NJIT, Penn) super seriously.
Huge win for Georgetown, as that is their first win this year against a team in the top half of the NCAA bracket. I think Indiana and Florida could be both be tourney teams, but the Hoyas needed some more heft to their resume.

Harrison was hurting in the 2nd half. Calf/thigh issue. Quick turnaround for him with just 2 days to get better.

4. The most wins by Purnell in Big East play.

What in the blue hell has gotten into DePaul? They were atrocious at the end of non-conference play. They finally are playing like they are capable of - they actually do have a pretty talented roster.

Purnell must want another year or two of that fat contract. Stunned to see their turnaround, and suddenly believe that they may finish somewhere .500. On the flipside, a devastating loss for St. John's team that needed a road win to offset their home losses to Nova and Butler. If Harrison has any kind of serious injury, they are done for.

I'm continuously amazed Lavin has a job.

They miss the NCAA's this year and that will change. And today was a big setback in St. John's hopes of making the NCAA's.

They beat Stanford earlier this year too. It was just a nasty 6 game losing streak to some bad teams that killed them. They should easily be 12-7 or even 13-6 and have a shot at a bid.
