Via Austin Karp from S.I.'s RICHARD DEITSCH's weekly column. As far as FS1, it is an evolutionary process vs. a revolutionary one I guess! (Please Big 10 - we want you!!!!)

That's actually not too bad. What they really need to do, and I know this sounds small, but get better position on the channel lists.

I have ATT-uverse. The sports channels are in the 1600s. So, when browsing I usually go to 1600 and go up from there.....

1602 ESPN HD
1604 ESPN News
1605 ESPNU
1606 ESPN 2
1607 SEC Network
1608 SEC Network
1611 Longhorn Network
1613 ESPN Buzzer Beater
1629 NFL Red Zone
1630 NFL Network
1632 NBA Network
1634 MLB Network
1635 MLB Strike Zone
1640 NBC Sports Network
1641 Golf Channel
1642 Sportsman Channel
1643 CBS Sports Network
1650 Big 10 Network
1651 Fox Sports 2
1652 Fox Sports 1
1653 Fox Soccer
1655 Fox Deportes

There are like 20 more. Either way, the casual sports fan is a channel surfer. They start at 1600 and will usually find something to watch before they get to 1652. Need to move up that ladder. Need to move above the SEC network.

Viewership was up for FS1, with help of the MLB playoffs and better college football match-ups. Last week UFC and motorcross did well for the network.
MLS Soccer is coming every Sunday night to FS1 and the USGA this summer. Women's World Cup in Canada as well. Look for 2015 to be a better year for FS1.

Let's hope FS1 can get 50% of the new B1G deal. Sticks that the NBA is sticking with ESPN and Turner.
