This makes me wonder more about Big Daddy indicating that Henry's commitment coming yesterday was not an accident. That was huge news, and while everyone knew Wojo couldn't comment, it still created a buzz. Local media had stories on the evening news about Ellenson, and his commitment coming on Media Day basically forced anyone wanting to do a viable story to attend and discuss a bit about what else is going on at the program. It also reminds the viewers about Madness (many probably don't even know such events exist) and why they should focus on the MBB program.
In recent years, Marquette's media relations and timing have been awful. This on the other hand was very well timed and executed. Maybe another sign that the new regime gets it. If HE was ready to commit after his visit and someone said "no, just hold off until October 9", that's the exact kind of foresight we've needed for ages. Further, it takes the focus off Levin's departure. Less than 2 days later and that's old, forgotten news.
It could all be coincidence, but this feels way too well-orchestrated for that. And coming from Marquette, that's a breath of fresh air.

I was a bit surpised that the question wasn't asked if Wojo was planning to add any walk-on's.

Actually, I'm thinking that it's one of the reason for Levin's departure. But all very good points.
It has been on the same day for as long as I can remember.

I thought that as well. Though if that's the case, the staff likely got Levin on board to coordinate his announcement with Henry's. Far better than last year when Jameel McKay surprised not only us but the staff with his Twitter transfer blitz.
