The former @NBA Executive VP for Basketball Operations, Stu Jackson, will oversee men's basketball operations & strategic planning.

Definitely a name hire and someone who knows the basketball landscape well. I'm sure there will be more stories coming on this, but seemed well worth posting.

That's what it seems like. Has to be considered a home run type hire. Well known name, tons of basketball connections, has worked in the Big East, PAC-10, and Big 10 as a coach (asst or head). Here's a blurb on the hire from the Providence Journal:
