Doc has worked overtime to support Marquette University over the years and especially during the latest coaching search. What he has done with his full-time job with the embattled LA Clippers has been nothing short of amazing on and off the court. His work goes beyond X's and O's to the core of what we should be about as a society. This story says so much about who he is as a person.

If Doc Rivers isn't named NBA Coach of the Year they should do away with the award.

Doc gets my award. No knock against Pop. I'm talking about both the on and off the court challenges. My award is based on the entire package not just wins and losses on the court. It goes beyond guys in shorts trying to put a ball in a hoop.

Totally agree. What Doc has done for the Clippers the past couple weeks is incredible. I think the voting was done before the Sterling fiasco.
