I'm guessing he had an issue with the television contract and the fact that Pitino and Boeheim were gone!

I'd be all over Christon if I had a late first round pick. Think he has a real nice perimeter shot, he just drives much more frequently.

From what I heard, he wanted to go last year. Mack talked him into staying so he could showcase himself and Xavier in the Big East. He might be better served by waiting, but this is the least surprising declaration so far. It was always coming.

Wake seems to be very flavor of the day. They wanted Archie Miller, then he re-upped. They wanted Mack for 5 minutes, right up to when Shaka/MU fell through. My guess is they'll reach out to everyone possible and eventually settle on a lukewarm mid-major or just pony up for Howland.

The initial rumors out of Xavier was that he was just looking for a little leverage to get a raise from XU.
