Did not know that he had sickle cell disease. Does anyone know what kind Hutch had - SS or the more milder SC like Garrett has?
MU OT game mentioned in last paragraph:
The team’s on-court malaise has lasted into early March, but Garrett Jr. has five straight double-digit scoring efforts entering the regular season finale Thursday. His three-pointer with five seconds left forced overtime in an eventual loss to Marquette on Feb. 22, a game in which he scored a career-best 26 points. He has been what the Blue Demons hoped he would be. Along the way, he has layered up against the intense cold in the Midwest and watched his rest and chugged water. Another disappointing season will come and go for DePaul. After enduring that and more, the Chicago kid charged with leading the latest revival attempt will be better prepared for whatever comes next.
