Here is an article from when Larry Williams was hired at Marquette. Looking at the comments below the article, there were a few that were happy Larry left.

Let's see...the Women's soccer team was under .500 this year, ( he had no impact on their NCAA Championship) the Men's B-Ball team isn't starting real strong. He was the catalyst for dropping Men's and Women's Golf and adding Women's Crew because their NCAA ratios where out of balance.

The only real positive I see, is he hired Eric Reveno.

Other than that he is an Ex NFL player who's ideal AD Job is at a Football school and somehow no one wants to hire him.

UP deserves better than he was giving them.

You are right. UP deserves better. Dropping a sport like golf??? Golf was costing almost nothing, great sport, it was UP's turn to host an event this year and those young men and women worked for years to become college athletes. So what does the AD do-start up a crew team and advertise all over campus; "come one come all no experience necessary-join the crew team." No matter that the kids that put years into their sport are getting dropped-just come on down and be on my pet project crew team! Good Riddence Larry Williams!
