People have talked alot about Gardner and Mayo coming up big yesterday but not much talk about Jamil
16 points...9 rebounds... a career high 7 assists...and only 1 turnover.......

Jamil played a very good game, especially in the second half. Of course, for Jamil, it's all about consistency. He needs to come out like that every game.

Jamil's passing has been very good the last 2 games.

Jamil fouling out (on a weak call) killed our chances in the OT. Buzz can potentially get a couple of breathers for him here and there, but we need him out there as much as possible.
We said that at our seats....that Jamil was having a quietly excellent game. Losing him with fouls killed MU in OT.

Yeah, but if Wilson did not have four fouls in regulation, we lose. He picked up two quick ones early in the second half, then two in thirteen seconds in the last minute. Those were obviously on purpose, and they gave us a chance to tie the game. Gardner and Mayo were also in foul trouble. That is what you need to do when you are staging a come back.

Not putting the blame on the kid, especially since the fifth foul was a weak call. However, as soon as he was done, so was Marquette.
One of the fouls on Jamil was three feet from me. Not only was Jamil standing with his arms straight up in the air, but there was absolutely no contact. If here had been contact it should have been a charge as he was set and absolutely motionless, but there was no contact whatsoever.
It is almost like he has the Chris Grim syndrome, Otule had it a few years ago, where they call a foul on him as soon as he laces up his shoes. Yes, Jamil has had some dumb fouls this year, but he has gotten more phantom calls this year than any other player.
That said he had a great game on Saturday and doesn't get much if any praise. Autry addressed this on our show last week saying that Jamil is guilty of being too talented. He will fill up a stat sheet and do all of the things the team needs him to do, but people are critical if he doesn't put up 20 & 10.
