Losing to a Northeastern team that has already lost to Boston University and Stony Brook......
63-56 final.....Were outscored 38-20 in the 2nd half.....

Georgetown definitely kicked that game away, though Northeastern did win the Colonial last year. BU and Stony Brook are also pretty good teams in their own right. An unnecessary loss for the Hoyas, especially since it cost them a potential game against Michigan or VCU, but not quite the end of the world.

Being very lazy here and I realize there will be many more opportunities, but has the Big East won any decent non-conference games yet?

Providence beat BC (middle of the pack ACC team) with three guys out, Georgetown beat a good Wright State team, and Nova beat CAA favorites Towson. Big East is still ranked the #2 conference overall in the Pomeroys.

They have had some okay wins, but nothing that will catch the eye of the media. Hopefully they do well in the preseason tournaments. MU beating New Mexico and/or Wisconsin could go a long way too

It's only one week into the season. Let's see what happens next week and early December.

New Mexico and UAB now in double OT....twice New Mexico had the ball at the end of the game down 3....UAB didn't foul either time and both times New Mexico made long 3s to tie it.
Great game.
