We played against a veteran Ohio State team that has finished 16th, 7th, and 12th in defensive efficiency the past three years. My confidant that's an OSU fan thinks they will be the best defensive team in the country this year. Not a surprise that a team that is incorporating four new starters in the offense struggled to score on them. I think they are one offensive weapon short of winning it all, but this is still an excellent team that wins 30 games every year and should again this year.

Yes, OSU is an outstanding defensive team. And, their strength, the backcourt, is MU's area of work in progress. OSU misses Deshean Thomas on offense much as MU misses Vander Blue.

Give them credit for finding a way to win when they had to. That game was going to the first team that could put together a scoring streak. Today, that team was OSU.

Fast break points to OSU 16-0...12-0 after half time...even though MU out-rebounded the Buckeyes handily. Matta made the adjustment to push the advantage.
