This is the best insight I've seen on the issue. The interviewer has a unique relationship with Buzz that goes back a long time. It is not a superficial interview for those who want there's sports with glib commentary.

George Raveling is one of my all time favorite college basketball coaches. I first met him when I was a cub reporter in Iowa and he lead the Hawkeyes. He was extremely kind without the overblown ego I learned over the years to expect from other major college coaches. He is a unique and intellectually hungry person. Raveling is always trying to learn and grown. He always has something he is reading and it is fun to ask him what his latest study material was about.

I'm not sure if all the segments of his interview with Coach Buzz have been posted here so here goes. This might be a good listen this weekend.

Is that Buzz' home kitchen, or is it in the lounge at the AL?

If that is his home, I am going to need the number for that contractor. Two TVs and a MU backsplash. Yea. Sign me up for that.

It looks like a bar. I'm guessing it's in his mancave.

I believe it is Buzz' home, and I also believe that Coach Raveling stayed there when he was in town. ;)

The the issues in college basketball in regards to shoe compaines/AAU programs are what they are, partly because of Raveling.

Vaccaro and Raveling set the foundation for those issues.
