BTW, someone (I believe bma) posted in Scoop last year that the carrier game and this series was scheduled due to the Notre Dame connections between Gene Smith (former OSU AD) and Larry Williams.

I remember that, though I don't think it was bma, the only time he's been on Scoop in the past 2-3 years was when he dropped that massive smackdown on Ners.
