Is Juan Anderson The True Swingman?

Without the availability of Duane Wilson, Buzz has 5 true guards in Derrick Wilson, Todd Mayo, JaJuan Anderson, John Dawson and Jake Thomas. Chris Otule, Davante Gardner, Jamil Wilson, Steve Taylor and Deonte Burton man the frontline for a total of 5. Buzz uses the term switchable, but Juan could really be one of the true swingmen playing guard and forward depending on foul trouble and matchups.

On another note, Marquette may have one of the nations oldest groups among it's top 6 players starting the year with Chris Otule (23), Jamil Wilson (22), Davante Gardner (22), Todd Mayo (22), Derrick Wilson (21) and Juan Anderson (20). Jake Thomas (22) adds to this.

I think that is how he envisions using Juan. He can defend the perimeter well, and had good length.

I think we'll see Buzz switch to a zone ala the Syracuse game in Milwaukee and he'll use Todd Mayo, Juan, Jamil Wilson, Steve Taylor and Davante Gardner in the game together for stints and that will be a relatively long group that hopefully has some improved perimeter shooting from Todd, Juan and Jamil. We may not see this lineup much or even in every game, but we'll see it at some point.
