who do you all figure has the best chance of making a roster?
Jerel McNeal - Utah Jazz - DNP (injury)
Dwight Buycks - Oklahoma City Thunder - (S) 26 minutes, 5-10 FG, 12 points, 13 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 turnovers
Darius Johnson-Odom - Orlando Magic - (S) 23 minutes, 1-8 FG, 5 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal, 4 turnovers
Vander Blue - Houston Rockets - DNP (coach's decision)

Here is my only thought (hope) on Vander from yesterday. These rosters are huge, and maybe the coach has designated "teams" to play in certain games in the early going. So I am hopeful that Vander was on a "team" that wasn't going to play and that it doesn't have anything to do with his workouts leading up to the game.

I never would have thought this when they were all playing, but Buycks. He really seems to have developed his game and from the sound of reports from the French League he is ready. Would be great to see a local kid make it to the show, especially a guy who has worked so hard for this chance.
Not to say I told you so, but I always said I thought Buycks' street-ball type of style was better suited for pros than college. Hope he makes it.

one could contend that the Summer League plays ALOT more open than the real League. 12 assists is 12 assists tho, proud that he's been able to adapt his game post - college. Hook Van up with that guy's #

I am feeling strong about my vote for DJO - he scored 22 points on 8 for 14 shooting yesterday, including two 3 pointers against the Pistons!

Ironically what has given him a chance now is he has taken the street ball mostly out of his game. I watched his first game and he was under control and running the show…….His development as a point guard has been really impressive…especially in the half court.

I too think he will land on an NBA roster this season - he's too crazy athletic combined with a nice touch.

I just think he is too short and not consistent enough with his jump shot.

DJO only took 5 shots though. Jeremy Lamb scored 11 points yesterday for OKC on 4-16 FG shooting and 1-9 on 3's while Victor Oladipo shot 2-12 for 12 points, basically all on free throws. Plenty of guys that have up and down games. Good to see that DJO was not just chucking shots up.

Will be interesting to see if Vander Blue plays today @2pm. Hopefully Houston is using the approach where they alternate players' playing time by game. With games every day, some teams go that route. Teams figure it is better to let guys get in a rhythm then try to play everybody in each game. Especially given the size of some of these summer league rosters.

I think Dwight has the best chance.

Another good game for Dwight:
13 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3PT, 2-2FT), 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists and only 1 TO
