Florida loses $840,000 on trip to nearby New Orleans for Jan 1 Sugar Bowl. Wow.

BCS bowl games are what everyone is fighting for, but if your school can't sell tickets they are a money loser.

BCS conferences may want to think twice about trying to squeeze non BCS schools out of their bowl game picture. Bowl games against the BCS schools are more of a big deal to schools in the other 5 conferences.

$840,000 is pretty cheap for the kind of national publicity those bowls bring. And I HATE college football.

Yeah, it's not as though if UF knew this ahead of time that they would have turned down the invite.
