Big East and NCAA Tourney

Once again the Big East leads with the number of NCAA tourney teams - 9.

Of the 9, 6 have seeds of 7 or better indicating they are favored for round 1 in the eyes of the committe.

Here is my prediction of Big East teams and sweet 16.

Big East teams I think will go to sweet 16 (4)
Syracuse (UNC Ashville - Kansas State?)
Louisville (Davidson - New Mexico?)
MU (play in - Murray State?)
G'Town (Belmont - NC State/ San Diego State)

Win Game 1 - Not Game 2 (3)
Cincy (beat TX - lose to FSU)
ND (beat Xavier - lose to Duke)
UConn (beat Iowa St. - lose to Kentucy)

Lose Game 1 (2)
USF (lose to Temple)
WVU (lose to Gonzaga)

I think that speaks to how deep the BE is even in a down year... if you take out the teams that are leaving that would put us at 7 bids, and assuming that NOVA will rise again I think we are going to be just fine. Also add Memphis and Temple to that list and suddenly we are a 10 bid league again...
