Interesting article that discusses why basketball success in the NCAA tourney leads to increased enrollment and higher standards of admission for colleges.

Great article and very true. Look at what happened at MU - the number of student applications tripled, so in one year the necessary GPA/ACT to get in went up drastically. Then take a look at the other side of things - Al McGuire Center, Dental School, Law School, Library, Engineering School - how many of those things were built before 2003? Not to mention all of the apartments and other buildings on campus that Marquette had put up.
Basketball success = overall University success.
Buzz Williams = a better Marquette University.
