The MU v. Butler game should be a nice promo for the new Big East, and is probably a good thing for both MU and Butler.
We obviously have some history with the others in the C7 group of schools, Butler not so much prior to this year.
That has changed.
Butler hit an amazing shot at Maui to beat MU.
MU now gets a chance to even the score with this NCAA game.
Winner goes to the Sweet 16.
The two games this year will give MU and Butler fans some familiarity with each other and allows them to start as conference mates with some recent history, and one team looking for some revenge.
Good for the new league as there will for sure be at least one sweet 16 team, with Georgetown, Creighton and Villanova still alive too.
