I know this means absolutely nothing, but Jerry Palm's latest has MU at a 7 seed playing Memphis with Indiana in round two (Dayton location). Wisconsin is also a 7 seed out west.

Out of the B7 + potential Butler / Creighton / Dayton / Xavier / VCU / SLU there are 5 in this bracketology - MU (7) and G-Town (9) from B7 and Bulter (3) / Creighton (6) and VCU (8) from the others.

The B7 better choose the other 5 wisely, as league credibility and NCAA credits will be very important coming out of the gate.

Lunardi also has MU at a 7 seed in Dayton.

I hope they really give a hard look at VCU over St. Louis.

I think it is too easy to fall in love with a paint job with some of these teams. Teams go up and down. At the time we left C-USA, UAB and Charlotte had made the tournament more recently than we had. That didn't make them better candidates for the Big East. Big East membership was a big part of the reason Marquette has made the tournament every year since joining, as it strengthened our schedule and gave us many more chances for important wins. The same may be true to a lesser extent with the new conference. The point is, I am not sure recent tournament success, much less where teams are supposed to be seeded this year, is going to be as big a factor as it might appear.
