Large crowd expected for national TV game
Friday's game with Green Bay is a near-sellout
MILWAUKEE - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee students can guarantee their admission to Friday's nationally-televised men's basketball battle with Green Bay by picking up a free ticket voucher in advance of the game.
The contest, which starts at 8 p.m. Friday and will be televised live on ESPNU, is expected to be a sellout at the Klotsche Center. All fans in attendance will receive a black Milwaukee Panthers t-shirt courtesy of Gruber Law Offices, LLC, as the Panthers "Black Out" the Klotsche Center.
Voucher distribution begins Tuesday at 9 a.m., with pickup locations at the Sandburg, Riverview and Cambridge Residence Halls, the Student Success Center and the Panther Ticket Office in the Pavilion.
UWM students must have valid student ID to pick up a voucher and then must bring their ID and voucher to the game to receive a free game ticket.
If all vouchers are not distributed in advance, the remaining vouchers will be available at the doors to the Klotsche Center on game night.
Meanwhile, less than 200 tickets for the game remain available for the general public. Those tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or by calling the Panther Ticket Office at 414-229-5886.
