View Full Version : Pitt favored by 10. I checked 2 different places, both at 10. Spread seems way off.

After watching Pitt play Georgetown, I would expect them to be able to cover the 10 on their home court against MU. I am personally hoping for an upset:cool:

Wow.....that is WAY off, easiest money ever...take MU and run before they notice something is wrong.

No, easiest money ever was picking Alabama to cover against Media Hype Notre Dame!

I hope we cover. I more so hope we win. But that spread is about right. Home team and they are rated far higher by all the computer rankings.

I'm expecting a 12-15 point loss. We have been horrific playng on the road (Florida and Green Bay). Past MU teams have done well on the road in Big East play, and Buzz is not easy to beat when he has a week to prepare. But so far we have not demonstrated we have what it takes to play even a mediocre game on the road.

Not to mention the Peterson Events Center is not an easy place to place, I think IF we lose it will be closer to 10, however for me this all depends which PITT team and which MU team shows up. Neither have been incredibly consistent.

We are due for a hot shooting perimeter game. I hope it is today to steal one on the road. Pitt plays great interior defense so we'll need it. That said, Pitt ain't Florida and they have been as erratic as MU this season. Would be great to get that Judas win though, but I can see the ten point line in a tough place to play.

This is why I rarely touch basketball games when it comes to gambling.

Maybe we keep it close all game but towards the end we need to foul and hope they miss the FTs. Say they don't. All of a sudden the close game turns into a 10-12 point loss because of garbage time FTs...

The spread feels about right. I would be highly surprised if MU won, and think Pitt wins convincingly. However, in a game I think will be played at a glacial pace (mid 50's possessions), it is much harder to get a double digit spread.

Huge win today. This was the kind of game that I thought we'd be seeing come mid-February. I want to see them against Cincy and Louisville first, but this team might be getting ahead of schedule on my hopes. This is a really deep team.

Phantom Warrior - seems to me a couple years back your loss predictions turned out pretty good for MU. Keep them coming.
