I know Phantom was inquiring about NCAA credits and what we would have transferring over so I did a little research to see what would be coming. Now this is assuming that it will be a 10 team league with Butler, X, and Dayton coming aboard. It is also assuming that all parties get to bring their credits with them (I don't know if that is possible or not).

So if the league were to start in the 2014-2015 season we would be receiving credits from the 2008-2009 year forward. Here is what the 10 schools earned in each year and the worth of those credits:

2008 - 2009: 13 total credits worth $205,206 per credit per year
2009 - 2010: 13 total credits worth $222,206 per credit per year
2010 - 2011: 13 total credits worth $239,664 per credit per year
2011 - 2012: 8 total credits worth $256,000 per credit per year
2012 - 2013: Current Year
2013 - 2014: Teams assumed final year in old conferences

Based off of that the schools earned $10,719,988 over those 4 years, which is an average of $2,679,997 per year, given we don't know what will happen in 2012 - 2013, and 2013 - 2014 I will assume an average year which would bring the schools to a total of $16,079,982 per year. That would mean each school will collect a check for $1,607,998 per year.

I'm under the impression that the league keeps any earned tourney credits when a team leaves. So while the 10-team league may have earned this many credits, I don't think they will all carry over to the newly established league.

Now... If you removed the new teams credits, assuming they cannot bring them with then it looks like this:

2008 - 2009: 7 total credits worth $205,206 per credit per year
2009 - 2010: 4 total credits worth $222,206 per credit per year
2010 - 2011: 6 total credits worth $239,664 per credit per year
2011 - 2012: 5 total credits worth $256,000 per credit per year
2012 - 2013: Current Year
2013 - 2014: Teams assumed final year in old conferences

That makes the 4 year average $1,260,000, which means if you put that amount in place for 2012 and 2013 that means we would have a total of $7,563,250 our first year in conference so each school would get $756,325

I know that wasn't the case with Cuse, Pitt, L'Ville and the other teams leaving the BE.

I posted on the X board to see if they knew anything and they said it was HIGHLY unlikely that they would be able to bring their credits with, they also mentioned that Butler did not get to bring their credits with from the Horizon League so all of the credits from their two Final 4 runs are already gone.
