Marquette fans are freaking out right now in the final two hours before Jujuan Johnson decides between Marquette, Alabama or Miami. So, why is everyone so anxious? here are a few quick notes on Johnson....
Johnson is a 6'4/6'5 guard from Southwind High School in Memphis.
High school teammate of 6'9 forward Jonathan Williams who is headed to Mizzou (#32 with Scout).
Johnson played AAU ball for the Bluff City Legends.
AAU teammates include 6'6 SF Nick King (Memphis, #20 per Scout)....6'9 PF Austin Nichols (#10 per ESPN)...6'5 wing Markel Crawford (Memphis, #50 per Rivals)...and 6'9 forward Jonathan Williams (Mizzou, #32 Scout)
Has a solid mid-range pull up jumper, has the ability to slash and drive to the hole and finish with authority. Has a long body type which defensively gives opponents fits. Extremely athletic
He is rated....
#33 with Scout
#46 with 24/7
#63 with Rivals
#63 with ESPN
His overall RSCI is #57, but Max Preps brings his spot down a few places. (they list him as #92, though in Maxpreps latest ranking he is #62)
Several services say MU has a top 5 recruiting class, if Johnson were to pick Marquette - that should solidify that standing.
