in 2001. Slick Rick had a last second change of heart and went to Louisville instead and Michigan ended up hiring Tommy Amaker.

Another great example of why we need to make sure Buzz is our long term coach. Michigan thought they had "The" up and coming can't miss young coach in Amaker. Didn't work out.

And many people wondered who the hell is Buzz Williams. You just don't know. There is no formula that guarantees success with a new coach. Look at U of I. Groce was their 5th option or so and he is off to a good start recruiting wise.

Who outside of Nunn has he brought in? It's been about Dayton level. We have 3 guys rated that highly.

Also, Bruce Weber recruited some tremendously high-ranked talent to Champaign. Until your own guys are doing it on the court, it's all just kool-aid.
