From two different coaches who watched him this summer ...

* 6-2, 190 pound combination guard

* Can make plays with the ball in hands

* Visited Creighton, Wyoming and Colorado State and was also being heavily pursued by both Arizona State and UTEP.

* Marquette assistant Brad Autry first saw the kid in the summer and was the lead recruiter.

* Good athlete who can pass, shoot and dribble.

* Leans toward playing PG because he wants the ball in his hands.

* He's a Marquette-type guard in that he can create, dribble and make some "wow" plays.

* Plays a bit like Duane Wilson of Dominican, but he's got a bigger body.

* Committed to Marquette and coach Buzz Williams without ever stepping foot on the MU campus.

* Big-time sleeper with great potential. Under the radar because he's from New Mexico, but did play some last summer with BYC Elite.

* Needs to get stronger and learn how to defend as well as develop a change of pace with his ball handling.

With the number of offers he had, that is interesting that he would commit without stepping foot on campus. Is that very common?
Hope he is here for madness.

I am thinking that Jae Crowder, Jimmy Butler, Joe Fulce, DJO and maybe even Lazar Hayward all committed without ever stepping a foot on campus. Four of the five are in the NBA.

To me that says a great deal about Buzz and the staffs ability to create relationships with these players. They aren't coming here for the facilities or the hype like some schools.
