Sounds like the Big East is trying once more to get BYU on board for football only. If not, they wouldn't mind Air Force, however recently the new Commish said that the Big East wouldn't raid any other conference.
I would think that BYU would provide some real value for a football TV deal. I also think the Big East will get more than what this ESPIN article indicates for its TV package.

I don't. Big East football stinks.
I do - Louisville is top 25 as is Boise State and Cincy & Rutgers are on the cusp. San Diego State and UCF have good programs. If being part of the Big East can jump start Houston and Memphis it could be a solid league.
No question that an ESPN story is going to downplay the value or amount of the contract as they are in the midst of trying to negotiate it.

Big East football is no SEC or Big 12, but Big East football is not that far behind the ACC. The only reason the ACC is thought of more highly is Florida State, as they are a marquee team.
Both the Big East (with Boise) and the ACC have 2 teams ranked in the top 25 (Fla State, Clemson, Lousiville, Boise). Both also have two teams on the cusp (Rutgers, Va Tech, Cincy, Georgia Tech). Not that much difference from the games I've watched this season.
