Good to see these guys getting recognized on a list like this. Burton is going to be a workhorse in college, can't wait to see him at MU.

Knowing Todd Smith's history of improving players' physique, strength and athleticism, it is scary to imagine a stronger and more athletic Deonte Burton.

Same for Steve Taylor, but Burton Smith could turn Burton into a linebacker.

As I can recall, I cannot remember too many 6'4" SF/SG that had an upper body like a PF that Deonte Burton has. Only Marquette players I can think of since 2000 with that height and build are Dwyane Wade and Wes Matthews. I am not going to make any attempt to predict what Deonte Burton's career will be like at Marquette, but I am excited to see him play and think he could be REALLY good.

In terms of build, Burton reminds me a bit of Brute Force, only a couple of inches taller. In terms of athleticism, Burton is much quicker and definitely has much better hops.

Obviously, I am not predicting that DB will have the kind of career GT had at MU, just that he has a very similar build to Thompson.

Practically every recruiting website lists Duane Wilson as a PG and Deonte Burton as a SF. Seems Buzz has the table set for Kendrick Nunn at SG!!! Scary how good we can be if Nunn commits.
