The Athletic just ranked the top NBA players, breaking them down into tiers. Giannis, Middleton, Holiday and Lopez all showing up in the Top 125.
The tiers are as follows:
1A - 1 to 3
1B - 4 to 7
2A - 8 to 10
2B - 11 to 14
2C - 15 to 19
3A - 20 to 23
3B - 24 to 30
3C - 31 to 36
4A - 37 to 56
4B - 57 to 79
5A - 80 to 125
Not having read the analysis yet, unsure if the list slots each player into an overall spot. Assuming so, based on the list format, the Bucks would rank as follows:
*Giannis (1A, #1 overall)
*Khris Middleton (2C, #18 overall)
*Jrue Holiday (3A, #21 overall)
*Brook Lopez (4B, #61 overall)
Tier 1 Players:
1A - Giannis
1A - Kevin Durant
1A - LeBron James
1B - James Harden
1B - Kawhi Leonard
1B - Nikola Jokic
1B - Stephen Curry
I would personally swap out Harden for Luka Doncic. I also believe Kawhi Leonard should be included with Giannis, Durant and James as the best of the best. Consistent injury issues has probably dropped him.
