Deonte Burton (Milwaukee/Vincent)
2013, SF, 6-4, 228 pounds
College: Marquette
It’s hard to find many prospects who play with his workman-like demeanor. Burton is a bull off the bounce as he goes mainly to his left hand and just punishes people along the way. With a combination of power and explosion, he will try to dunk on anyone standing in his way. He is always looking to attack a defense and will hit the offensive glass. However, he must work on his jump shooting and free throws. His game and body are similar to former Marquette player Jeronne Maymon.
I guess they are both strong and like to dunk on people. I'm thinking Deonte's athleticism translates a little more than Jeronne's did. I don't think Burton will be playing the 4/5 either, which unfortunately was the undoing of Mr. Maymon.
