Tough upcoming stretch with 7 of 8 on the road. With the current 4 game West Coast trip, the Bucks will face 2 projected title contenders (Clippers and Utah) along with a Minnesota team off to a hot start (4-1 but no Towns due to suspension: https://youtu.be/zRl3k4P4Gok).

Most intriguing should be seeing how Milwaukee matches up with the Clippers on Wednesday night (granted, no Paul George). SI has the Clippers beating the Bucks in the NBA Finals. Kawhi and Giannis is always must see TV. The Bucks' bench has been very good; DiVincenzo, Hill, Brown, Ilyasova especially. I think DJ Wilson will have his moments this year as well. Should be a good litmus test early in the season.

No Kawhi tonight, "rest/load management." Don't get this. Only 7 games into the season, many project these 2 teams to reach the NBA Finals. Technically, the Clippers will say it is more important to have Kawhi play the next night against a Western Conference opponent. However, this really deprives the fans of a marquee, early season matchup between possibly the 2 best players in the league.

I understand the logic, but it's hard to justify crazy prices when a team just decides to rest a player who isn't hurt.

At least it is a home game, so it's not like this is the only time Kawhi plays there. This type of stuff bothers me when a team is on the road and fans may have bought tickets specifically to see that player. Basketball may be the one sport where people pay to see the star player.

Disappointing, but on the positive side hopefully this helps get the Bucks a W.

Agree, and the Clippers are still a good team without him. Thing is, teams from the East play teams from the West only twice in a season. Kawhi is worth all of the accolades, but I can't see Bird back in the day sitting out against Magic/Lakers, and vice versa.

Not like there won't be plenty of tape for the Bucks to scout if they would meet up in the Finals. Jordan would have relished a big game against another marquee player. For a guy who is certainly not weak, it is a very weak move.
