MU vs Seton Hall Game Thread
Officials: Michael Stephens, Lamar Simpson, Roger Ayers
Starters:
Seton Hall:
Khadeen Carrington
Michael Nzei
Myles Powell
Desi Rodriguez
Angel Delgado
Marquette:
Sacar Anim
Markus Howard
Andrew Rowsey
Matt Heldt
Sam Hauser
Very low scoring game but Rowsey is off to a heck of a start, but all 8 of MU's points? Need others to step up.
Sonogo is pissed and wants to hit someone - keep going right at him.
And then he gets the flop. Damn
MU on an 11-0 run - nice work, starting to move the ball well.
At the stat break -
Points in Paint: MU 8-4
Off Turnovers: MU 3-0
2nd Chance Points: MU 4-0
Fast Break: MU 6-0
Don't know the last time MU led all of those categories
Midway through first half Matt Heldt leads game with 6 rebounds.
Wow - MU up 25-15. I love cockiness for a teammate, but wow - Sacar has the ball in the paint, passes it to an open Hauser at the three point line and before Sam even goes up for the shot Sacar heads down court. Just wow.
I was talking to someone the other day who pointed out that as good of shooters as Howard & Rowsey are, they are never on the same night, always one or the other.
Seton Hall: Rowsey 23, Howard 4 (13:47 second half)
Villanova: Howard 37, Rowsey 6
Providence: Howard 52, Rowsey 16
Georgetown: Rowsey 35, Howard 13
Xavier: Rowsey 31, Howard 13
If MU could ever get these two both rolling on the same night...
Looking at lineup right now in the second half against a ranked team...
Elliott - Freshman
Cain - Freshman
John - Freshman
Howard - 18 year old Sophomore
Frohling - Inexperienced soph

Great to see Philip Flory get on the board for Seton Hall tonight with a pair of free throws.

As Dickey Simpkins would say.....#Splash! Great win, and by 20 points! Seton Hall may have been off their "A" game, but MU was really good. An important win, and nice to see individuals (especially the freshmen) continue to progress. It has been such a fun season so far.

Great to see Philip Flory get on the board for Seton Hall tonight with a pair of free throws. Flory looks a lot thinner than the last time I saw him play several years ago in Mark Miller’s event at Concordia. Nice for him to get some PT last nice and get on the scoreboard.

Speaking of Flory, it had me wondering whatever happened to Nick Noskowiak. Looks like he played last year at Dodge City Community College and started off the year for Otero Junior College where was averaging 10pts a game on 47% and 38.7% shooting, but appears he may have left the team as the last game that he's had stats for was Nov 21st.

Nuke - that was the first think I noticed about Flory too, he looked to have lost weight.
Noskowiak - Looking at Facebook, he was been up north snowmobiling on Saturday & Sunday. Not sure what happened this time, but I assume he has moved on from Otero.

Well it's probably outside of basketball at this point. Not sure how much eligibility he even has left.
