Rowsey talking a little trash at the time out. Needs to get his emotions under control we need him out there. Macura is messing with us already and doing so effectively. Love the contributions from Elliott and Cain so far.

Does Cain get an assist on that?

I officially hate Macura more than any other college player ever. What a whiny, flopping jerk.

If Markus would have had a good game, I think we win this game. That said, MU played well against a really good team. I think we passed the eye test tonight when judging if we look like a tourney team.
It also looks like Wojo is ready to flip the big man rotation going forward with Harry playing the most minutes and Theo being the primary backup. That’s how it should be — Matt should be no more than a 10 minute per game reserve.

Love J.P. He is Xavier's Andrew Rowsey but he is 8 inches taller and much more versitile. Does all the little things that you might not see on a stat sheet and rarely makes a mistake.

Agree — i’d Love to have him on MU. He’s got personality when most players are generic drones out on the court. He’s also an incredibly smart player...He knows how to draw fouls

It's simple, if he's on your team you love him; if he's not you hate him. Sign of a very effective player and Macura is definitely that.

JP Macura reminds me of Travis Diener. Competitive as all hell. Wish he was on our team. Glad he is a senior. He has had some issues in the past that makes him a bad boy but as a basketball player, he is damn good.

JP is a punk just like you and Coach Mack.

While watching on TV, I first thought Rowsey kicked Macura and that Rowsey had been hit with the T. Then they showed the replay from a different view and it looked like Froling moderately pushed Macura at the very most. Macura's reaction was ridiculous, but for 1 of the 3 experienced refs to even call a T on that was even more ridiculous.

I said last night that Macura and Rowsey are the same - you love 'em on your team, hate 'em on the other!
Before the tip, they were next to each other and had quite a chat. Seemed like they had some kind of friendship by the way they were acting.

Agree Ted. Don't these refs know coming into a game about the product on the floor they will be overseeing? Isn't it pretty obvious that a player like Brad Davisson and JP Macura flop throughout the game and every time they do it, the refs should be certain it was actually a charge or a typical flop from those guys. I just think the refs rewarding plays like that are part of the problem. Don't call it and it will go away.

Was it Eades who called the T on Frohling? Eades was absolutely awful last night. Driscoll & Clougherty were fine.

Macura certainly sold the shove from Froling to the fullest degree, but I am fine with the T there. Any time you push a player after the whistle, you risk getting a T (and well, when a player sells the push like he has WWE in his future, it's always getting called).

Eades was horrid and I believe made the initial call on Rowsey, but I thought Clougherty called the T.

I'm not sure if it was friendship......they were chirping at each other all game, I kept waiting for a T to happen, just didn't expect it be on Froling, thought it would be whoever lost their cool first between Rousey and Macura.
He's a good player, but he could play for some of Bo Ryan's Wisconsin teams they way he acted out there, was doing it all game and the refs ate it up.

I disagree. It was a total non-call moment-Macura's momentum was coming into Rowswey. Frolling was stepping in to pick Rowsey up and gave Macura a bit of a nudge. Give a warning or whatever. Would have rather they went to the film to determine if it warranted a T or not (not sure if they can even do that?). I believe they went to the film to determine who got the T?
Refs have to be more disciplined also, just like the players. They have to know a player like Macura sells crap like that and not take the bait.

Have not watched the replay on my DVR, but that’s what I saw at the BC last night. I.E., Harry trying to pick up Rowsey and Macura got his nose into things. Very poor call by the refs.

If you do not a call a T there, you're begging for a worse altercation later in the game. Not real mad at Froling for sticking up for Rowsey, but if the shoe is on the other foot, there would be an outcry for a T on the Xavier player.

Harry just can't put himself in that situation. Get over there to pick up your teammate but you can't push or shoulder bump a guy out of the way. Sure it was a flop but if he doesn't run into him he can't sell it.
I'm sure he will learn from it but that 2 points was huge down the stretch.

Well, the way they embraced and talked prior to the tip was much more like a friendship. On the court, the competitor takes over in each.

I was guessing they were talking about how much fun each of them had taunting the UW student section. Rowsey "Hey JP really loved that Gator chomp you did in Madsion" JP " Thanks man...saw you guys blew them out and had some fun of your own with those jerks"
