View Full Version : MU vs Xavier Game thread
Officials: Pat Driscoll, Jeffrey Anderson, Bo Boroski
Starters:
Xavier
Jones
Goodin
Bernard
Gaston
Macura
Marquette
Howard
Wilson
Heldt
Hauser
Rowsey
MU obviously shaking up the starting lineup with Wilson, Heldt and Rowsey
Best I have seen/heard the student section in a long time. Had a big group out there singing national anthem and you couldn't hear them as the students respectfully sang the whole song.
I must say, the place is up for grabs. Two Ts on Xavier before the 2:00 minute mark.
Rowsey with 4 points from Technicals to go with two 3 pointers - giddy up!
Xavier has 4 turnovers to MU 0, MU has 7 points off those turnovers.
Matt Heldt already has 6 rebounds in 7 minutes of play.
Shooting has gone cold, Xavier on a 9-2 run.
That run is now 14-4, stop jacking threes and pound it in.
MU led by as many as 21, but the half its MU 42 - Xavier 30.
Driscoll with another double T?

MU really is a terrible defensive team. We're only good when we're making our outside shots.

Pat Driscol strikes again What a pathetic double T call. Even for Double T Driscol. I like him as an official and he calls a good game, one of the best out there. He's got to lose the double T, especially when it's that weak.

I think Jajuan will have to play in the second half and Fischer needs to get in now with Heldt with 3.
Don't know what he did Ted, but must have been something.
The foul that Boroski just called on Duane - anyone watching on TV get a replay? Looked like he was pushed out?

After Howard hit his third 3 in a row, the bench was going crazy -- with the exception of one player. JJJ not into the game at all
Don't know what he did to be in the dog house, but if he can't support his teammates - he may be sitting where he needs to be sitting.

Fisher is so bad at hedging the ball handler on those high picks.
5 mins ago I said they need to be up 15 or more at the 10 minute mark for me to feel comfortable. They are really trying to push me tonight, aren't they?
Boroski is awful. Never been a fan, and we get him often.
Just an FYI, Markus Howard currently shooting 80% from three.

Thank God Howard is on fire tonight because nobody else can do anything on offense

The BE should be embarrassed by this crew. Really awful officiating with the T's and double T's. Pathetic. Gaston did not deserve to be disqualified.
Take Howard out of it and MU is 3-21 from three (14%).
Dumb foul on Fischer, now MU has to play small. You are up 22, give up the hoop and head down court.
Great win for National Marquette Day, really enjoy seeing all of the former players from 8 different decades on the court!
What a crazy freaking game!

Great post game when Anglavar was on the court to congratulate Markus Howard on breaking his single game three record.

I thought he tied the record?
It was tied. He would have had to have made that last one to break it.
