Two things I didn't know - that he is a redshirt Freshman - totally missed that - and he was recruited by exactly one college coming out of high school - Creighton.

Patton was not exactly overlooked as was #63 in the 2015 RSCI composite recruiting rankings. Suspect no one offered because he wanted to stay home as he did?

I think he was a late bloomer but not sure.

I bet Nebraska wished they had offered......

He was already committed to Creighton when he blew up in AAU play. If he had chosen to look around after that, he would have had a plethora of offers.
