Georgetown needs a W in this one.

Saw some of the Butler @ Georgetown game this weekend. It looked like you could sit anywhere in the stadium you wanted. Few fans even in the good seats.

IIRC, the attendance was a bit over 7,000. MU may be struggling, but things are pretty ugly with the Hoyas. In normal circumstances, you would think JTlll would be launched after this season if things don't turn around drastically, but with dad still on the scene and the opening of the athletic center in his name opening just months ago, that probably won't be the case.

Attendance of 7,000 in an 18,000 seat arena doesn't look very good.

Georgetown ended 2013 in 1st place in the Big East, and ended 2015 in second place in the Big East.

Georgetown has been to the NCAA tourney in 5 of the last 7 years, but expectations are always high, and when they don't make it this year, that just isn't good enough at Georgetown.
I'm sure JT3 will get at least another year, but if they miss the NCAA three straight years, and the future doesn't look like it is promising, it will be very interesting to see what happens.

So St John's is good enough to blow out Syracuse by 30 and beat Butler but can't stay within 25 of the Hoyas

Georgetown get their first Big East win, knocking off St. John's by 28. Hoyas held St. John's to 5-for-30 from three.

You just can't put anything into single game results in basketball......NBA or college.
