Giannis follows up a huge game against the Cavs with the following stat line against Brooklyn.

23 Points, 8 boards, 8 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks, and 0 turnovers.

I didn't watch any of the game last night, but watching Giannis is getting to be worth the time. The numbers he is putting up are more than just all star numbers.
Parker adds 22. These two may just be guys others eventually want to play with going forward in the new building.

And he did that in three quarters. Sat the entire fourth.

It's remarkable what he's doing without much of a jumpshot. His body control and shot selection has improved a ton. Even when teams sag off of him, he gets to the tin.

I think the ceiling is incredibly high on Giannis, as he started basketball later in life than most.

Just think of where he can go if he does develop a consistent jump shot threat.

Even if he never becomes a consistent 3-point shooter, hopefully he can master the mid-range jump shot like D Wade has done in his career.

The kid is only 22 as of today... that's CRAZY... great move by the Bucks to lock him up long term.

Good article. Plenty of Novak comments on Giannis' work to improve his shooting. I am sure Steve serves as a good mentor to Giannis in practice.

Great points by Novak on Giannis. Agree with MUFAN2003 on Novak, actually having Novak around is like having a shooting coach on the team.

You can see the NY media reaches out to Novak for the article. He was very much liked in his time in NY, and was a big part of the fun Linsanity Knicks. Then Melo came back - ha.

Another triple-double for Giannis in win over Portland tonight (15 pts, 12 rebs, 11 assists and 4 blocks). Parker with 27 pts.

Wow. That was a great read. Part of the enjoyment of watching this Bucks team is the lack of egos and malcontents. Guys pull for each other and want to win first. They look like they are genuinely having fun.

Giannis is the regional cover for this week's Sports Illustrated edition (with the Lee Jenkins article). The Detroit player's facial expression in the background is priceless .

si.com is my go to site - I'm on it a few times a day - and when I read this article on Monday night I was thinking it may have been the longest SI article I've read in a long time, if ever. He certainly isn't a generic budding superstar.

I have subscribed to the magazine for a long time now. Always considered it the premier sports magazine with good articles (like the Lee Jenkins piece on Giannis) across the sports landscape. Had one on Mike McCarthy a few weeks ago which was also very good.

I've been a subscriber for over 41 years now and my father was a subscriber since it first came out in '54 with the Braves Eddie Matthews on the cover. I do wish they gave more attention to some of the "minor" sports though - for example, I'm a big fan of track& field and they used to give it in depth coverage, but not anymore. However, there is the Swimsuit issue - that my mother use to "edit" BTW - I'm not sure how my father felt about that - should have asked him.

Sweet shot by Giannis for the game winner vs the Knicks - Novak right in the center of the post game celebration.

Wow! Thought Giannis may have waited too long. Needed a close win like this on the road. Jason Terry hit some big 3's in the 4th. Great win for this young team.

Awesome finish... what I like most about this game is that the Bucks didn't play their best and still won, they found a way to fight back into it and close it out. This team is maturing and has a good stretch of games here where they could get hot.

Not bad from a publicity standpoint for Giannis. Hits a game winner in what is the most famous arena and against the Knicks.

Needed a win like this for the team to really feel like they got it in a close game. Big win for a young team. Back against the Knicks on Friday in Milwaukee.

Giannis is currently Top 20 in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. No player in NBA history has finished a season Top 20 in all the aforementioned categories. Unreal.

That is a crazy stat, especially from a player on a team with playoff aspirations.

"Antetokounmpo has a chance to rank in the league’s top 20 in five categories: total points (15th going into Tuesday's games), rebounds (15th), assists (tied for 18th), steals (tied for 7th) and blocks (fifth). No NBA player has ever done that for an entire season, and only two have ranked in the top 25 in all those categories: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and recently retired Kevin Garnett."

That is very impressive, and he is just scratching the surface.
Keep in mind for most of Wilt's career, I don't think blocked shots were even a stat, and maybe some of Kareem's too. I wonder if Wilt had some triple doubles, or even quadruple doubles with blocked shots.

Looks like Giannis is getting the Boston game off.....crazy averages;

22 points a game, 5 assists nearly 9 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 1.9 blocks......

Giannis with a very good game 1 v. Toronto, but interestingly enough, the Bucks built a nice lead late in Q3 when Giannis was out with foul trouble.

Giannis was impressive getting out on the fast break, and his one jam when he was in Ibaka's face was awesome, and may have set a tone.
