Bentil is staying in the NBA draft.

I think this puts Providence behind MU for sure, and maybe battling to stay out of the bottom slot.
I'd think Young had a pretty good idea Bentil was going to stay in the draft when he committed.
Good for MU in the Big East next year, but I always like star power in the league.

Assuming Whitehead, Blueitt and Hart come back the Big East should have 3 top 15 teams this season, that is pretty stellar. Creighton should be improved also, which should lead us to being a pretty solid league again.

Exactly. Would much rather move up in the league by adding star power rather than other teams dropping off.

Agreed... we may move up in the league but this won't help us become a tournament team at the end of the day.

Whitehead is interesting. Originally reported he was likely staying in the draft. Then was to announce last Thursday, likely returning to Seton Hall. Then pushed his decision back to tomorrow. Definitely sounds like he is looking for 1 team to be high on him. Same thing being reported about Nigel Hayes. I hope Whitehead returns, he is not a first round pick. Players like Valentine and Hield turned into lottery picks by staying in school. Neither were lottery picks, or first round picks, after their sophomore years.

Josh Hart supposedly has mentioned (interview with Jay Wright) the opportunity of trying to be the first team to repeat since Florida 2006/2007.

I thought I saw today that Blueitt is in fact returning to X.
