More building going on at MU.

Two new residence halls going up, followed by McCormick hall going down.
It will be interesting to see what MU does with that space.

Loooong overdue. MU's residence halls are subpar to say the least and the dining rooms even worse. Many Universities have dining options that are better than some people's homes. This is great news and will help attract students moving forward.

I was a junior when McCormick was built. The construction site was ringed with a tall blue fence. The morning after our loss to Southern Illinois in the NIT finals, I saw these words in 5' tall letters:

WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU WARRIORS

That's my sole memory of McCormick.

9th floor of McCormick hall 84-85. Was a frickin' zoo filled with mostly freshman boys. (was not Co-ed at that time).

Weekends would suck, when someone would pull the fire alarm, and we would all empty out onto 16th street. If you were lucky, the Ardmore Bar would still be open.

Then the long trudge back up the stairs after they'd cleared the building!

Pops Sims was on our floor, so that was kinda cool.
