OT- Wisconsin Hires Joe Krabbenhoft as Asst Coach

Have not seen this posted as of yet. I assume he replaces Close. He was an assistant at SD State.

Interesting hire, should be a good fit. Don't know that Bobwould have hired him, Gard seems to be pretty smart with what he's doing.

Very happy they got him instead of TJO or another elite recruiter on their staff. Not sure what Krabby's experience is in getting into the recruiting world.

I look at it this way: UW has replaced Assistants Greg Gard and Gary Close with Howard Moore and Joe Krabbenhoft. That is a serious downgrade.

Compare that to Stan Johnson coming in for Mark Phelps.

Meg Griffen could have replaced Gary Close and it would have been an upgrade.

Thanks IWB. I was never quite sure what Close did because I don't recall him recruiting much. Kind of like UW's Chris Carrawell. :p
