Tough game on the road tonight with a short handed squad. Hope it goes well.

Tough environment at Creighton. Stay home on Creighton's 3-point shooters and let's get a win. Go MU!

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Luke's bball iq is just terrible.

JJ stepping up tonight. Nobody can stop his penetration. Just has to stay strong with the ball.

So Held is out with a knee injury and Cohen suspended. Anyone know why?

So happy for him. Patience and perseverance is starting to pay off for JJ.

Wally is doing a nice job on Cole Huff. Athleticism and intelligent defending.

Really good 1st half. Man, we come to play on the road. Not so much at home. Weird.

Really enjoy Carter Blackburn & Pete Gillen on the call. They do their homework. The Dominican with Wilson and Stone is what homework is.

Except they missed the 1st time Amin came in. Otherwise solid on the call

And when Gillen said NC was one of Henry's final schools instead of Kentucky.

Duane Wilson is killing MU. Playing as if something is on his mind. He is not that bad.

I was about to post the same. Up 15 with the ball and a careless TO at midcourt leads to a deuce by Creighton. The last TO was equally poor.

Not only is he killing MU, he is killing me! Just unbelievable decision making. Did he eat paint chips as a kid?
MUMac

Sure seems like the fouls on the shot are not being called equally. A lot of contact when MU shoots that is not rewarded.
Did he eat paint chips as a kid?
Uhh, why?

If that's a flagrant foul, rescind the Big East name.

Ellenson needs to be pulled for a minute or so to calm down.
Just a terrible flagrant call. Henry basically gets punched in the chest. Let it go both ways.

He is still pissed about the Flagrant 1. The guy is going down by his knees and he pushes him away. Good acting job by the Creighton player made it look worse.

Every possession down the stretch, start the offense with post touches for Fischer or Henry...like MU did in Brooklyn.

The fact that they had time to review and couldn't tell he flopped was a joke.

Ellenson sets a ball screen and they switch so a little is on him. He has to roll, not pop, then post the guy up.

Settling for 3's at the end of the shot clock. Very poor offense

OK, now Ellenson posts up when the little switches on him after the ball screen and our guards don't even look at him. Get him the ball.

As good as the first half was offensively the 2nd has been bad. Pressure defense and zone really hurt MU.

When did Duane's 3 point defense turn into a fly-by that allows the shooter an open look every time? That's all he does now.

02-24-2016, 08:55 PM
How is that not a travel???
MUMac
02-24-2016, 08:55 PM
When did they allow you to go to the ground with the ball and not call a travel? Rule change?
Awful no call there by the refs.

The only downside of winning this is that it basically ends any hope of Creighton getting another Big East bid

Typical Duane this year. Piss us off at times but makes big shots in crunch time.

Without a doubt, Ellenson is our best player.
Great win! Let's keep it rolling. Only we would have won that DePaul game and 1 more in the Big East. But let's finish strong.

Yep. Get the DePaul and Creighton games at home and we would be in good shape. But hey, this is pretty much what many of us expected. Win some we shouldn't, lose some we shouldn't. We have gotten better as the season has gone along.

I do
Going on year 3 of missing the tourney, cheer for MU every game. Creighton's RPI took a vast jump beating Xavier at home. MU has #1 Villanova at home Saturday. MU's RPI can take a similar jump. Georgetown and Butler finish of the schedule, 88 and 63 RPI's last time I looked. Plenty of opportunity in MU's control.

Absolutely horrible call. HE was reaching for the ball that he had pressed in between his legs, the little white dude comes up from behind, gets in the way of HE's reach and thats a flagrant????? Mind blown.

Easier to say in a win that the refs were awful. They missed a lot of contact down low both ways, but damn do we get zero respect at the rim. I admire Wojo not getting rung every night, as these refs would drive me insane as a coach.
I will say that I thought that the Xavier-Nova game was actually reffed well, and you could actually predict what the refs would call.
