That is probably true. Also, Jimmy was the leader of the team last year, and I can see him feeling responsible to call people out. The Bulls are far from terrible, and I am convinced that Hoiberg can coach. Thibs got the job done, but I really do think his time with the Bulls was through. He wore out the players, and more importantly, the front office. I think they will get it worked out.

Don't know about tweets, but Jimmy has gone from being a role player to being a starter to being an all-star. Of course he is different. He is now the main man whether he wants to be or not. When that happened at Marquette, Jimmy went from being who? to the guy who was a pretty good sub at the end of the season, to the second best guy on the team to being the main man. Of course he stepped up and started being the leader. It might not work the same way in the NBA.

There was an article in the Sun-Times last week saying the players are kind of split into two camps about Jimmy taking the leadership role. I personally think he is pushing too hard to be explicitly be considered the "leader" - better to let happen organically IMO. Not crazy about that term anyway.

DJO was the one making those tweets. And you are completely right. People change. That doesn't necessarily mean they change for the worse.

Jimmy's comments aren't being well-received from what I hear. Lots of subtle digs at Derrick mixed in there (granted, everyone wants Rose gone, but that doesn't mean JFB's passive-aggressive attacks will play well) and it comes across as pouting. Can definitely tell that he is in the camp that he wishes Thibs was still there and isn't accepting Hoiberg very well. Bulls need to get that sorted out, because for the next 5-6 years, JFB and Hoiberg will both be there. Can't have your best player and coach in a war of words.
